Athom Event & Party Rentals - Terms and Conditions
Welcome! We're excited to help make your event a success. By placing a reservation with Athom, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Reservations & Deposits A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your equipment reservation. Paying this deposit constitutes your agreement to this contract.
2. Cancellation Policy The 25% down payment is non-refundable.
Cancellations made within 20 days of the event will be charged 50% of the total rental cost.
Cancellations made within 10 days of the event will be charged 75% of the total rental cost.
Cancellations made after the truck has been loaded for delivery (usually the night before) will result in a 100% charge for the entire order.
3. Delivery & Pick Up We DO NOT deliver to locations with limited access.
Delivery times are arranged the Monday before your event and can range from 1-3 days prior, depending on the size and type of event. Specific day/time requests may incur additional charges.
We deliver with vans and box trucks. Please advise us of any driveway obstructions (arches, wires, etc.) to avoid damage and potential distance fees ($50 minimum per 100ft).
If your venue requires same-night pick up, there will be an additional charge based on the size of the order and pick-up time.
If renting a tent, please mark the corners with stakes, sticks, or spray paint before delivery to expedite set-up.
4. Equipment Return All rentals must be ready for pick-up by the morning of the day following your event date, unless otherwise arranged.
Rented equipment should be collected promptly after use and stacked neatly in the same configuration it was delivered in.
If storing equipment outdoors, it must be covered with a customer-provided DRY tarp. Our crew will fold the tarp upon retrieval.
A $100.00/hour cleaning charge will be applied if rented equipment is left outside and uncovered.
Chairs must be stacked neatly on dollies before pick up. There is a $0.25/chair charge for improperly stacked chairs.
5. Damage & Loss Damage waiver (optional) covers accidental damage or damage caused by natural events. It does not cover negligence, abuse, or lost items.
We reserve the right to charge your card for the full replacement cost of any missing or damaged equipment after 14 days of overdue return. This charge is on top of any late fees incurred.
6. Additional Policies No staples, tacks, pins, or tape (except for undersides of tables) can be used on any equipment. Damage will result in a charge to fix or replace equipment.
Drilling holes in pavement requires a $5.00 fee per hole, both for drilling and filling (unless otherwise arranged).
Frame tent legs can slightly damage surfaces. We are not responsible for such minor cosmetic wear.
We cannot put a pole tent up over a driveway. If you require a tent on a driveway, please rent a frame tent.
Sidewalls cannot be removed and are non-refundable if cancelled.
Lessee (customer) is responsible for ensuring the delivery location is easily accessible and free of obstacles that could impede set-up or damage equipment. There may be additional charges for clearing the area or repairing damaged equipment.
7. Indemnification The Lessee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Athom Event & Party Rentals, its employees, agents, and subsidiaries, from and against all claims, liabilities, losses, claims of personal injury, damages to property or otherwise, and expenses of every character whatsoever, resulting from the actions, negligent or otherwise, of the Lessee or its agents, employees, or subcontractors.
8. Limitation of Liability Athom Event & Party Rentals is not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages caused by delays or otherwise. Lessee waives any right or entitlement to such damages.
9. Governing Law This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.
10. Entire Agreement This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.
11. Amendment This Agreement may be amended
